Gabriela Szczypa is a photographer based between London and Warsaw, working across documentary and portraiture. Her work explores nostalgia and longing for the unknown, often drawing inspiration from the cinematic. Growing up in a post-communist country, she became accustomed to the space where the past intertwines with the present. Interested in spontaneity and formal experimentation, Gabriela weaves personal experience into themes of human nature and collective memory. She also has a background in commercial photography, with extensive experience across editorial and portrait work, as well as on-set coverage.
