Remnants materialised from my grandma's death, which unexpectedly became a tipping point for my work. Learning about the untold events from my family's past allowed me to comprehend how important it is to learn such "hidden" truths and keep the entire memory alive. Through staged photography, the project portrays the silence and eponymous remnants of what is left when the damage is already done. Remnants is a compilation of shots taken in the places where I grew up, however, some of them are staged to emphasise how the past is intertwined with the present. It's a threshold to what has happened and might happen to everyone if we hide everything within ourselves.
The final version, available in the form of a book, is a tangible homage to my grandma's past.
